KAUFMAN LAB
WELCOME TO THE KAUFMAN LAB
Overview of our research
Our lab at the University of Chicago focuses on how cortical circuits work together to make decisions and generate movements. Using mice, we combine innovation in behavioral paradigms together with two-photon imaging, optogenetics, electrophysiology, and video tracking to produce rich behavioral and neural data. We then develop new mathematical methods to understand how brain areas generate the signals needed to command behavior.
We are currently looking to hire a postdoc, using our new Diesel2p two-photon mesoscope to study inter-area communication in collaboration with a deep learning team. Please see more information here.
